Hello everyone, Wicked here. I'm excited to announce that V-Chatter is now available for download on Itch.io! V-Chatter is a desktop pet application where users can import VRM files and interact with the character model in various ways. The main focus of this application is the chat feature, where you are able to text and speak to your character (a.k.a. "v-chatter").  The response you receive will be text and/or speech, and the character model will have an expression that best matches the underlying sentiment of their response.  Ultimately, I'm aiming to make the most advanced conversational desktop pet. 

Why was this app made?

This app was primarily made to fulfill a vision I had years ago as a teenager. Back then, the big shot commercial AI services of today were not public and required an extensive application process in order to be used. Now that they're easier to access than ever before, I decided to finally make this app. The recent resurgence of desktop pet styled applications also played a role in my decision as well. 

Future plans

The current state of the app is nowhere near the final product I hope to make. Of course there are more features I plan to add and the character models' animations while conversing are not up to par of what I am envisioning.
